The MI200T squeeze-type resistance inverter spot welder serves the sole purpose of spot welding during maintenance work on car bodies, for stock of up to 3 mm sheet gauge and combinations of up to three sheets within its specifications. Chief Fusion Technologies MultiSpot® welder delivers the large currents needed to heat today’s car metals for flawless fusion. Energy delivered to small areas in short amounts of time will increase your productivity and weld effectiveness.

Technicians interface with the MI200T through a compact control panel featuring an LCD screen and easy-to-follow graphical controls. Changing arms is a fast and easy process. Pop off the cooling line, flip a lever and remove the arm. Reverse the steps to install the new arm and get back to welding.

MIG welding also known as Gas Metal Arc Welding(GMAW) was developed in the 1940’s as a means of welding aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Chief welders use inverter technology to achieve better looking, high performance welds.

New vehicles are manufactured with a mix of different materials and require multiple joining techniques. Chief’s MIG/MAG welders use inverter technology that meets OEM requirements in collision repair.

The Chief MIG/MAG welders provide a series of synergic programs specially prepared for the filler wires to be used in Steel (mild & stainless) and Aluminum welding or for galvanized sheet metal and High-strength steel brazing, such as CuSi3, AlBz8 (CuAl8). Chief welders come with a very large set of synergic programs loaded in the machine.

The synergic program is formed by a series of points that relate voltage and current (wire speed). The programs stored in the welder provide a valuable aid in establishing the ideal parameters to perform the work. The operator simply selects a synergic program, according to the wire used and recommended shelding gas, and the thinkness of the workpiece to set the base parameters. He can then adjust the parameters as needed to match the specific application and his personal way of welding.

The hydraulic pump is pneumatically driven. Its pressure intensifier, with a pressure ratio of 100:1, delivers hydraulic output pressure of 8702 psi (600 bar) with input pressure of only 87 psi (6 bar). When the equipment’s preset final pressure is reached, the pump stops and maintains constant pressure, using a pneumatically controlled pressure relief valve.

The basic tool kit contains the pneumo-hydraulic pressure intensifier a hydraulic gun, an NB 40 rivet clamp and a fully equipped UN 2.0 Riveting Tool Kit.

Ford & Lincoln Approved!

We’ve expanded the capabilities of our successful Ford F-150 Aluminum Holding Package so it can be used when repairing the new Ford Expedition or Lincoln Navigator SUVs. Our Ford Holding package (300001) now includes additional rigid pad mounts and hardware to accommodate larger passenger compartments on these full-size SUVs.  Chief rigid pad mounts spread pressure out over a larger area of the passenger compartment, reducing the chance of causing additional damage during the repair. Confidently work on Expedition and Navigator SUVs with this versatile structural holding system from Chief.

Extend and distribute the pressures exerted over the entire cab while pulling with our specialty holding system. All of these specialty adapters allow you to secure the new aluminum cab to its frame and to the frame machine. Pressure is then extended over a larger area decreasing the risk of additional damage being introduced while pulling the vehicle. The special shape of the feet, with suction cups, will perfectly fit to the car body, including angular surfaces. The kit includes 3 tie-rods and multi-hook gripping heads for a combined or independent dent pulling operation.
• Anodized aluminum pulling system for smaller jobs and a single tie-rod with special heads that can pull either a single or a group of hooks. A circular base accessory for the pulling system (to replace the two feet) is used in the repair of small diameter dents.

• Heat gun is provided to heat the dented area of the aluminum panel that needs to be repaired.
• Heat shield gel is used to create a barrier to protect the parts of the panel that are not to be heated during the aluminum repair process.
• An angled air die grinder is provided as a dedicated tool to eliminate cross contamination during the aluminum repair. Used to remove the weld studs and/or for other sanding or grinding operations.
• A starter kit of aluminum studs, zinc-plated steel eye-bolts with a plastic holding case is provided
